While I was pregnant with my firstborn, I went on a quest to find the most cost-effective and safe products for my family in order to make better-informed choices.

I was shocked to discover that carcinogens and toxic chemicals were a commonality in so many baby products.

I found myself making purchases at dozens of stores just to meet the needs and safety standards I wanted to maintain.

This frustration motivated my best friend and I to create a brand that people just like us could trust for all their everyday needs.

Living in the diaspora (USA) away from home has always been a struggle for Mamie.

Despite that challenge, She has always found a way to remain rooted and connected to her family and friends.

One of the many ways has been championing fundraisers for a variety of causes. Her drive to help and support entrepreneurs, especially women entrepreneurs is unmatched.

Most recently, Mamie joined 2 women-led organizations that are near and dear to her heart; helping the well-known Gambia Women’s Chamber of Commerce (GWCC) establish a diaspora chapter, and serving as a mentor for the Anilize Women & Business group.

She aims to bring her love to serve her home and community to MaMo.
